How To Have A Better Day


As we experience the day to day and all life has to offer we can lose sight of our own mental health. We can begin to feel overwhelmed and spiral into a depressed state of mind, which isn’t good for you or for the people around you. So what should you do if you need to check in on your own mental health mind, body, and spirit?


Be kind to yourself and that’s a great start!


In the beginning of your day take the time to breathe and do some mental healing to create a good mindset to move forward with a good attitude for you and everyone around you.


“Start with being thankful for waking up in the morning and saying thank you for the excellent day ahead.”


What I have noticed is that a lot of times my mood is dependent on the people around me, like my kids and my husband. Its not so much their moods because that’s one of my accomplishments to be proud of…everyone is pleasant in the morning in my house

because when I greet them all it is with my pleasant morning mood so they go with it. Thank God!


Besides that…if we get in our own head about how we think things should be, or should I say how we expect things to be without having to orchestrate it, it can get ugly and we can find ourselves in a funk or irritable or just not feeling good at all, so may I suggest some ways to feel better……..breathe…relax………think about you….let them be them


*create spots in your home that are quiet and yours that you can escape to


* read and say prayers

*take care of you

*meditate

*hydrate

*organize *take a walk

*workout

* take a bath

*apply basic makeup or groom

*cook

* journal or read

* call friends and family to connect and chat

* catch up on work

* watch a show or a movie.

*turn on the radio



Whatever it is, it will be something for you and it will change your frame of mind to a productive, healthier and happier state. Which is the goal…the goal is to have a healthy mental state…we do need to work at that.





Begin with a daily prayer!

#1- “The Serenity Prayer”



“God please grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can, and wisdom to know the difference. Amen.”


The purpose of the serenity prayer is to create a state of being calm, peaceful and untroubled. It is the best way to live!


#2 - Journal - write a list of things you are grateful for each day. When we focus on the good things in our lives, we attract more good things. It is the law of attractions If you want to write a list of 10 things then go ahead and do it, the more you are grateful for the better.


When we journal we release stress hormones and we create order in our thoughts and feelings.

#3 -Smile - The act of smiling changes the dopamine in the brain.


Benefits of smiling are:

*You are more attractive.

*Releases stress.

*Boost for mood for you and those around you!

*Strengthened immune system because when you smile your body relaxes and releases good neurotransmitters.

*Reduce blood pressure.

*Changes the brain to fell good.


When we have peace we have the ability to live life to the fullest. When we have a sense of calm we can handle our spouses and children, work and life with grace.


There is help and and there are many techniques to use daily. If you put the work in and take the time daily to retain your brain you can live with better mental health.


*Always take your medicine, if its isn’t working for you, then talk to your doctor. *


Thank you dear Lord for allowing us these blessings with your help and for the easiest remedies such as above to make our lives better!

Being grateful is the best way to refocus to get a positive result with so many different subjects that arise daily.


Mental health is overlooked a lot of times but we know when we are not absolutely healthy, so it is up to us individually to take responsibility to get healthy.


Everything we do begins with our thoughts, so work on getting your thoughts healthy daily and you will begin to move in a happy direction. Healthy and happy!


It is absolutely the easiest way to have peace. Gratitude is the best attitude to have, for love and every other blessing life brings. Wishing you your absolute best life ever!
